Dada – Tail of the sacred cow

(For Art Movements studies class)
Dadaism is a wonderful avant-garde movement which was created on 5th of February 1916 at 18:00 in Zurich at the Cabaret Voltaire.
The main goal of Dada movement was to create a new and universal language of Art.
The main principle of Dada is Irrationalism !!!! Dada was created to spread Idiotism.
Rejecting logic and reason according to the Dadaists they oppose strict rationalism with its world war problems to the universal rejection of the acceptance of the world.
One of the main goals of Dadaism is a total nihilism.
Dada for Dadaists is a peculiar zen “Dada – is Nothing” as the Dada manifesto said that all Dadaists do not represent anything and they are not going to achieve anything.
Dada never had any common formal features like other art movements and in this sense it is not a real trend in art.
Dada destroys the purpose and the meaning of the object Dadaists deconstruct everything that gives a giant field to experiment that’s why Dadaism is absurd.
Dadaist were trying a lot of different arts, universalism of work is a feature of Dadaism. That’s why Dadaism was looking at art in a fundamentally different way.
Artists could’ve proclaimed an artwork literally everything Marcel Duchamp did with a lot of things like his pissour “Fountain” these works are not conditioned aesthetically it is just snatching an object of reality and saying that it is an artwork because spontaneity is a sign of freedom. All of those works are just irony over reality.
